Flemington Racecourse is the venue for the Melbourne Cup, owned by the Victoria Racing Club it welcomes hoards of Australian punters at this time every year.

The record attendance at Flemington racecourse is nearly 129,000 recorded on the 2006 Victoria Derby Day. The winners of the Victoria Derby that day was Efficient who went on to win the Melbourne Cup a year later.
